Andrew Carnegie

A famous industrialist and one of the greatest philanthropists of all time, Andrew Carnegie built a steel company and amassed a huge fortune - a fortune he mostly gave away by the time he died. His life and philanthropy is summed up in the 'Andrew Carnegie Dictum', which encourages people:

  • To spend the first third of one's life getting all the education one can.
  • To spend the next third making all the money one can.
  • To spend the last third giving it all away for worthwhile causes.

We are inspired by the Carnegie Dictum and believe it is as relevant to our lives as it was to Carnegie's. And we are building YourTurn to reflect that. That's why we allow people to discover and pursue education and/or career interests as much as we allow them to help others do the same.
